A NEW way to get trim and fit is on the horizon
Hi! I'm Pamela Marshall, an everyday working wife, mother, and grandmother, and I'm thrilled to say I'm living the best years of my life right now.
Instead of waking up with the blahs each morning... as I did just a few short months ago...I get out of bed feeling fully alive, buzzing with energy, and excited about the day ahead.
Instead of throwing on an old pair of sweat pants and a baggy shirt to hide my belly and wide backside, I put on something cute and stylish.
I have more confidence than I've had in decades. And while I've always been blessed with phenomenal family and friends, my life is much richer now because I'm not settling for less than I deserve.
But not very long ago, I was a mess...bogged down in embarrassment, frustration, and defeat.
Frumpy... out of shape...unhealthy...feeling and looking more like an "old lady" every day.
The humiliating part is I let myself get that way.
Growing up I had the metabolism of a racehorse. Plus, I was always taught to look my best so I believed I always would always have a youthful, toned, and slim body.
"No way I'll let myself go," I thought. "Not me."
But guess what...
Life happened.
I married a wonderful man, had three beautiful children, and eventually a full time career. That was my focus. Not how I looked.
When the pounds first started creeping on, I wasn't too worried. What are a few extra pounds? I can lose those easily... starting Monday.
Well, after 20 years of Mondays I found myself a 52-year-old grandmother embarrassed by how I looked and wanting more for myself.
What was once little changes...a tiny belly pooch, a little jiggle in my thighs...had grown into 3 belly rolls and cottage cheese thighs that not only jiggled, they thundered. Before I knew it, my upper arms fanned out like bat wings.
I had to face the hard, cold truth. The once vibrant, attractive, energetic woman I used to be had let herself go.
You can probably guess what happened next. The typical enthusiastic mad dash to take on every fad diet or magic pill I could get my hands on.
Then rushing off to buy thigh busters, fat blasters, butt lifters...a whole hodge-podge of exercise videos...only to let them gather dust in the corner of my garage.
Sure, I lost a few pounds over the years. But they always found me again...with interest!
It took awhile, but once my frustration turned to righteous indignation I made one simple but profound decision.
I wasn't going to stand for it anymore!
I'm only 52...that's the new 30 for crying out loud! Why should I settle for a frumpy looking, run down body when I could have decades of good life ahead to enjoy?
Being overweight and out of shape was no longer acceptable. I made a conscious choice, drew a line in the sand, and tapped into my own power.
My southern roots surfaced. Picture Scarlett O'Hara standing in the mucky ruins of Tara, clenched fist raised and vowing, "As God is my witness, I'll never be ashamed of my body again!"
That was me. And that's the day I began to profoundly change my body and my life.
After 12 weeks I saw the following changes in my shape:
My bathroom scale tells me I've lost 14 pounds. Actually, I don't pay much attention to my scale anymore because I know the numbers aren't a true indicator of how slim you look. And while I may not weigh what I did 25 years ago, I can wear the same size PLUS look great in my clothes. That's what matters...not the read out on a scale!
I'm enjoying more confidence than I've had in years. I've noticed second lingering glances when I walk into a room. When acquaintances I haven't been around in a few months see me they get this confused look on their faces, as if they're trying to figure out how I could have changed so quickly.
I'm much more at peace about the future because I know I haven't just transformed on the outside. I'm healthier than ever and my high cholesterol and prediabetic glucose levels are a thing of the past. Knowing I'm possibly prolonging my life is priceless.
What does all this mean to you?
If you're over 30 and feeling frustrated because "diet programs" don't work for you, you're not alone... and it's not your fault!
If you've ever wondered why some people seem to have success with losing fat but you don't, you've got a lot of company. You see I used to wonder the same thing. If like me you've tried diet after diet only to gain back all the weight you lost and then some, you may have figured out that traditional "diets" simply don't work. And you're right…they don't! Not long term, anyway.
You may manage to lose a few pounds but when it comes to getting fit and lean and staying that way, dieting will only lead to failure and disappointment. As a matter of fact, dieting keeps you fat!
Imagine if you could get off the crazy dieting merry go round once and for all. Imagine if there was one powerful and comprehensive program…the last program you would ever need…that would help you burn fat, tighten and tone your abs, your buns, thighs, and arms... and help you get a feminine shape that it slim, trim, and lean. Wouldn't that be fabulous?
